| The city of Avalon located on Catalina Island off the coast of Los Angeles commissioned Crown to build a Snorkel in 1963. Assigned serial number F1319, this rig was spec'd out to have a Firecoach body mounted on a Ford C850 chassis. She was equipped with a 50 foot Pittman Snorkel and fitted with a 1,000gpm Waterous pump and 200 gallon booster tank. Upon retirement, she returned to the mainland after being purchased by a restaurant up in the mountains near Big Bear, California. |
