| I built this site because there is no other website available with information and photos of Crown Firecoaches. Enjoy it and learn from it. If you find any information that is incorrect and you have factual information to back it up, leave me a message HERE. I always welcome contributions of Crown photos from personal collections with full credit going to the contributing photographer. I spent thousands and thousands of hours doing research and traveling the United States tracking down the Crowns that you see on this website. In addition, the monumental amount of time it takes to keep up on this website. In it's raw state, this website contains in excess of 500 gigabytes of photos and information. No small task for anyone. I am very appreciative of all of those that have taken time to share thier photos and information with me to use on this website. So, after all that is said and done, I own a few Crown Firecoaches myself. I find that general maintenance and upkeep can be a chore for just one person but I find it to be fullfilling and rewarding. The smile that comes across your face when your driving your rig down the road says it all. I have driven my Crowns from the Canadian border, to the Mexican border. I've driven my Crowns from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean, and back. I have driven my rigs Code 3 (legally of course, escorted by local law enforcement) through every major city between California and New York. I have logged thousands of hours and thousands of miles behind the wheel of a Crown Firecoach. If you have any questions about Crowns, please feel free to ask. If I can't answer it personally, I will refer you to someone that can. I have two pets, which are my mascots, so to speak. Both are squirrels, named Rocky and Elvis. They are with me at most events which I attend with my Crown. They are a bit camera shy so there aren't that many pictures of them yet. And yes, after all that I still find time to volunteer at a local railway museum and I have a full time job. |
